Right now im waiting to to Lithograph................

Heres my stone just waiting to print it now.....

I used ink, crayon and washes for this.

The drypoints

Drypoint of shoes

blurry due to gease proof paper and monoprint, ghostly effect

This idea is to big and broad and its proving difficult to express my point through the mediums at task, i would like to exploore them further through photography and instillation, due to this i have turned my head to another aspect of the news. During my research on this project i have been drawn to how many missing people there are spread through out our papers.

I am drawn to the fact that people go missing , leaving people with helpless feelings and a hope that the missing return home. I am focusing on shoes to express this.

Photography

Our Brief was to respond through photography to our brief, I was thinking along the lines of the circle and how everything happens over and over again like a routine only in the media, same news different day , same fight different war. Through a sequence of thoughts i was brought to the image of the toilet roll, I thought about how humans repeat the information fed into them,

And I thought about the similarities between toilet roll and the news pape,  how the news comes straight of the press and straight down the drain once a story is made its then history.

Etchings with script.

WASHES AND WATERCOLOURS

WORKED INTO ETCHING

The etching...

This is my etching I plan to go over it in ink waches stitching and other media to improve tonal qualities.

Etchings

Translating this idea in to etchings proved a lot more difficult and my ideas became more complex debating my beliefs and theories to myself, to find a point of view I could defend under scrutiny, I proceeded with the prints but now feel my idea needs to be expressed and explored through different mediums. This is the result of etching them …

I watched Project NIM to further my understanding of apes, which
"Tells the story of a chimpanzee taken from its mother at birth and raised like a human child by a family in a brownstone on the upper West Side in the 1970s. " This opens your eyes to the definition of humanity.
