exploring smooth texture
I needed to try and create the smooth glossy texture of the flowers after they had been frozen I used laytex and food colouring.
Melted roses
As the roses melted they lost there colour, and in contrast to the original crisp roses that were fragile after decay, these were moist full, smooth and glossy.
Frozen Roses
I thought it would be interesting to prohibit the decaying process, i did this very simply buy freezing them, the ice inhanced the colour. Furthermore I recorded the ice melting gradually releasing the petals, so they came through the ice.
